Two of Lea's poems, "All of Me" and "Hallelujah" from her book,
ALL OF ME, were nominated for the 2009 Pushcart Prize.
She was also a finalist for the Pavel Srut Fellowship in Prague.

 

Lea lives in Western Massachusetts. She is the founder of the Collected Poets Series in Shelburne Falls, MA, editor of Oscillation: Art and Poetry in Motion, poetry editor of the Equinox, and editorial assistant for the Marlboro Review. She attended New England College's MFA program, facilitated stroke survivors' writing workshops, and managed her daughter's modeling career (see pics on left, i.e. she's part of my bio). Banks has been published in several journals including Poetry Northwest, Slipstream, Diner, The Recorder and American Poetry Journal...
